A WHOLE CHICKEN

Image
"Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and He will direct thee for good. Yea, when thou liest down at night, lie down unto the Lord, that He may watch over you in your sleep. And when thou risest in the morning, let thy heart be full of thanks unto God. And if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day." - Alma 37:37 Well, everyone, this week, ngl, was a different one. Biked a lot, spoke Spanish, and ate more food than I thought possible. But for real, this week was super good. We saw a lot of miracles, and I am even more sure of the hand of the Lord in this work. Abel came to church again. Blanca wants to be baptized, and she came to church with us. Taught a ton of lessons about Jesus Christ's Atonement. Ate a whole chicken... got 'em. Our friends are progressing really well, and I'm excited to see what happens with them. Abel has a baptismal date for this coming weekend. I am so excited for him. As we have been able to teach him, I feel like we...

And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness." (2 Nephi 5:27) This week was a crazy one, everybody. This work is amazing and exciting, and I love it! The week started off pretty normal, good Tuesday progress, and found some cool people!! Tuesday night though, we ate some tacos, and then went home for transfer calls... I LEFT! It is crazy not to be in Brownsville; I feel like there was so much for me to do over there! So on Wednesday, we went to our boy Ricky's house. HE PASSED HIS INTERVIEW!! So awesome, and I was so happy for him. It was super hard to say goodbye to him and his family, but I'll see them again, so it's no worries!! Later on Wednesday, we had a lesson with our friend Alicia, who is also preparing for baptism. She is doing so well and will be baptized this week!! Thursday came, and we drove to McAllen for transfers!! I am now in the city of Mission, on the bikes in the coolest ward ever!! They are all so kind and super down for the wor...

Leadership Letter

Dear Elder Morgan David Lefler, I congratulate you on being asked to serve as a District Leader Trainer in the great Texas McAllen Mission – Montecristo Zone.  Leadership is best accomplished by your own positive example.  As a District Leader, doing the following is essential: -Supervise, train, and inspire the missionaries in district meetings and by doing companionship exchanges to proselyte with missionaries in your district for short periods of time.         -Carry a full proselyting load in your assigned area, and set an example for other missionaries. -Ensure the safety and welfare of Sister Missionaries in your district. -Make sure relationships between Elders and Sisters are always appropriate and in harmony with mission policy.    -Interview candidates for baptism. -See that all necessary reports are accurate and completed on time. -Hold well-planned, spiritual, and inspirational district meetings. Remember that your most important ...

Temple #dedicated. People found #somany. Desires to serve God no matter what #SOHIGH. I love this work. In this moment, I find myself with not a lot of time. So, I wanted to share something I have learned this week. NO MATTER WHAT, God will love us. He is our loving Heavenly Father. The greatest way for us to feel His love is to serve others, hands down. God sent His son here for YOU. He loves us. The first greatest commandment is to love God, but the greatest truth in this life is that He loves us. I love you all, and sorry for the short email!! Keep up the good work and know God loves you all!! Please pray; God wants to hear from you! Also, pray for our guy Ricky. He's getting baptized this week. Elder Lefler Also, there's a picture with a 49 for my cousin Zach! Yes, sir, I don't know if they won or lost though....

Y'all Already Know

Wow. That's all I can say to describe my week. It was full of miracles, hard work, and some fun as well. Also, I hope you all had a chance to watch the General Conference! Me and Elder Hancock watched in total about one session. We were just going around to all our friends getting it turned on and started for them! They all loved it and received the answers they were looking for. This week started off super well. We had exchanges, and I went with my boy Elder Olsen! He is a beast, and I learned a lot from him. In the morning of our exchange, Elder Olsen had a meeting, so I went on a split with Elder Jacobsen. It was an exchange within an exchange. Elder Jacobsen is a brand new missionary, so it was hype to be with someone with such a pure testimony! He shared his testimony powerfully, and I learned a lot about humility from him. Shoutout, he also knows my guy Elder Gallman who is in Columbia. While we were on the exchange, we went and shared a little conference hype with our friend...
