Romans 8:28

This scripture is one of the greatest. If you don't know it by heart, I would invite you to go read it right now! My week was super awesome. I learned so much and felt my testimony grow in countless ways. Through the highs and lows, there is always something to learn and apply in my life and the work of the Lord. WEEK 1 We started the week with a lot of hype! We had a very big goal for baptisms at the end of the week. So with that energy, we had a lot of good meetings and prepared. They were all centered on resolving doubts and finding the deeper needs and concerns of our friends. It was super cool, and I learned a lot of things about myself and our friends! We met so many cool people this week as well, and they are progressing well! Our friend Eric came to church with us this week. He hasn't been to a church in a long time but wanted to come see what was up. It was so cool to talk with him and see where he was at spiritually. After 2nd hour at church, he got caught by some mem...

Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Hey mom. Thank you so much for the email! It sounded like a full but fun week. I truly hope you enjoyed it and made the most of every minute. That's one of my bigger goals right now—the hard times and the easy times. If we aren't trying to find their purpose, then what's the point? I always remember the verse in Romans 8: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." It's so true! I love this gospel so much! Thank you so much for your testimony at the end of your email. In reality, it was all throughout your email. You truly have such an amazing light, mom! My week was absolutely crazy! It was a big grind at the beginning of the week with meetings and some dryer, not as productive in the missionary mindset of things. Then it moved to the second half of the week and got crazy! We found and taught a lot of people! I did a lot of baptismal interviews, which was super fun! That'...

Highs And Lows

Everyone, I love my mission. I love the Lord, and I am so grateful for the amazing blessings I have received! This week was full of highs and lows, full of miracles and a lot of time praying. As well, I probably drank more soda this week than ever before. We met as well our friend Fausto. He's from Veracruz and has the coolest Spanish ever. It's super fast, and his voice is very high-pitched. We met him, and he told us he had a Book of Mormon, so we talked about that, and he came to church yesterday. He really wants to know everything, but we talked about desires and faith, and he accepted a baptismal date for the 23rd! It was so cool to see him understand everything and want to grow! Our other cool friend is Lucia! She's like 70+ years old. She's met with missionaries before, knows all the Relief Society sisters, and knows who Joseph Smith is! We went over, and she finally decided this is her time to be baptized! So we set a date with her, and she is going to work so h...

We Released A Bear Into Laredo

Yoooooo, what is up, my homies? Was the week killer? Did you learn something new and amazing about the gospel? I hope you all enjoyed the "Come, Follow Me" this week; I had an amazing thought while reading it. Nephi said that he delights in the words of Isaiah, so I decided that I should give it a try. As I tried my hardest to use the Spirit to understand it, I saw many references to the Savior, and I really enjoyed it! Our week was awesome, an absolute banger. The Lord's hand was evident in everything we were doing. I thought it was cool to be able to see God's help in even the small things. We taught a bunch of lessons and saw a lot of people desire to grow closer to their Savior. A couple of them even decided to go to church, which was amazing. They all really liked it and said they would be coming back next week. We met and talked a lot with Mikey this week. He has the goal of being baptized this next Saturday, so we were working with him a lot helping him overcom...

Snowy Sunday In March

Hi Mom, Thank you so much for your email. I enjoyed reading about your week and all the amazing things you are doing. You're such a great example to me. My week was so awesome. We saw so many miracles, and truly, it was one of the best weeks of my mission. It's amazing what a different attitude or perspective can do for this work or just life in general. I love being able to work my hardest and know that God is with me. I told myself I was going to write a longer email today. I really hope I make that happen. On Saturday, I had the opportunity to watch a baptism from my old area. Our friend Fernando was baptized, and Elder Meldrum was able to baptize him. It was good to see him and watch him have that experience. This week, our friend here, Mikey, is going to get baptized. He came to church again, so he is absolutely chilling. He is reading the Book of Mormon with his sister Kate, who is getting baptized the following weekend. It's amazing to see the power of that book. Mom...
