Well That's All She Wrote Folks

Well everybody, there are not really words to describe what I am feeling right now. It is so crazy to think about all the things that have passed during these two years and how much I have grown. But I wanted to recap a little bit about this past week and all that happened.

The week started out super normal. Had a good ZLC on Tuesday and made some awesome plans for the zone. We also went over to the Familia Torres's house and set Juanito on date for this past weekend. They are so awesome, and I am so grateful for the time I have had to get to know them.

Wednesday we had interviews! We were there the WHOLE DAY! Literally from 9 in the morning until 9 at night. It was crazy, and we literally just hung out at the church. We did have a couple of friends come to the church for some tours. It was fun to show them around, talk about the temple, and show them the outside.

One of the friends that came to the church tours was Mirna. She is so funny; it's the only word to describe her. She speaks only Spanish until she tries to express how she is feeling or if she is telling a joke. Then she always switches to broken English! It is super funny, but she came to the church tour and accepted a date to be baptized this coming week in August.

Thursday we had District Council. Super dope, last one I will ever get to sit in—crazy feeling, but pretty good nonetheless. I really enjoyed being there with the missionaries and learning together. Our DL is pretty lit; his name is Elder Diaz Rios.

Friday was another cool day. I went on an exchange with the legendary missionary from Puerto Rico, Elder Diaz. It was dope, we had a lot of fun, and he bought me a DQ Blizzard because I bottle-flipped two times in a row. He is the greatest, for real!

Saturday was just locking people in for church. In the morning, Elder Newton and I had the opportunity to help with a baptism in the zone. Her name was Matea; she is super old, so we both had to get in the font with her. She is so awesome and just so full of light. She came up out of the water, gave a big thumbs up, and said, "Hey elders, we gotta get more people in here doing this!" She is so awesome, and it was a cool testimony to me that at any age, people can change!

Sunday was super hype. We had a lot of people at church and saw so many miracles. A lot of recent converts came as well, which was so cool! I don’t want to leave this ward; I have come to love and appreciate these people so much!

Our friend Juanito got baptized! He is the absolute greatest! It was a surreal feeling to have him be the last person I will help be baptized as a young missionary. I love this work so much!

I want to testify to you all that this church has the power of God in it. I know that with all my heart. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and this chance He has given me to represent Him for 2 years. Now I have the chance to go and do it for the rest of my life. I love you all, and I can't wait to see you!
