One For The Books
Yoooooooo, I hope you all are doing well today. My week was crazy and super good! We found a lot of cool people and saw so many miracles! Let's get into it.
Monday was super dope, good p-day, got to talk to the fam which is always hype!
Tuesday we had a pretty normal day, good meeting in the morning and then grinded in the heat during the afternoon! Our dinner appointment was so lit! It was with the Rodriguez family, which was super hype. They are a super big family but sorta inactive. So we talked about the restoration, a lot of other things, and we got on the topic of baptism. Turns out one of the ladies wasn't baptized. So we started to teach her and they ALL came to church on Sunday! It was so cool to see all of them in the church. #eternalfamilies
Wednesday was dope. We had an awesome zone meeting centered on baptism and how we can find the needs and doubts of our friends. Then the day proceeded like normal, going absolutely crazy in the heat.
Thursday was good and we saw a lot of miracles, had Subway for dinner which was super nice. BUT I got to do an exchange with my dawg Elder Stewart. We were companions in Mission 5 transfers ago. It was good to see how he's changed and grown. I love that guy.
Friday we had a district leader training meeting which was fun to be a part of. It was good to see a lot of the buddies from the mission. They made everybody stand up who was going home soon. That was surreal.
Saturday was good, locked our friends in for church and had some amazing food with the members.
Sunday was awesome! We had friends come to church and also got to sit in during Sunday school. My guy Bro Ochoa taught class and he went super into depth on the Come Follow Me for this past week. It was all about Abinadi and Alma the Elder. I love Abinadi so much. He never saw the success from his preaching, but did it because he knew God called him to the work. Sometimes we have to push through the hard times even when we can't see the countless blessings that God has for us.
JESUS GOT BAPTIZED! He's the GOAT. It was a very spiritual baptismal service. So much of his family was there, members and non-members alike. We got some time to talk to his mom and sister and now we are meeting with them this week to help them start this path! Me and Jesus got super close during our teaching with him and he's started to copy some of my mannerisms. For context, he's 17 years old and in high school. I love to say the word "amen" after everything, so he's started saying it too. At the end of our phone calls he says amen. He's so awesome.
We had dinner with the Ochoas on Sunday as well. They are such amazing role models for me. They remind me a lot of my brother Austin and his wife Grace. It's amazing to be surrounded by people who are centered on the gospel. The peace and spirit we felt in their house last night was amazing! We talked about going home a lot though, also finding our eternal companion. Wack.
Love you all so much!
