Week Of Love

Hello sweet Morgan! How has your week been? How about your Sunday? I hope you are doing great and that your day today has been filled with light and learning.

It has been a good week but also a week filled with lots of time that my body hasn’t felt well. I think Heavenly Father must be giving me a glimpse into how you have been feeling. My tummy has just been not well off and on all week. I’m so sorry you have dealt with this so much! Today is great because it is fast Sunday so there’s no food in there to irritate. I’m going to try really hard this week to eat really clean and see if it will help. Other than that, it has been a good week, especially with time in the temple, which I am so thankful for! Wednesday, I met up with Aunt Sheri in Payson to do initiatories in the temple. It was so great to be reminded of those promised blessings. Then Friday, a couple in our ward went through for their endowment and we joined them. It was amazing to experience their joy in preparing for their sealing. Then Saturday morning, we were able to attend their sealing. They have two little boys and when they brought them into the sealing room, the spirit was just so strong. What a great day for that sweet family. I felt so blessed to be able to be a part of it. Then last night, the youth did baptisms in the temple. I had planned to go but wasn’t feeling great so when I knew they had enough leaders, I came home.

Some other things from this week: Monday, we talked to you, which is always my favorite. Monday night, we went to watch the winter guard family night performance. We have a few young women in those groups and it was fun to watch them. And then we came home and did Come, Follow Me together. Tuesday, my ministering sisters made lunch for me for my birthday, which was so sweet! Wednesday was temple with Sheri and then we had youth activities. We were combined and played games and had snacks. Super fun to be all together! Thursday, I went to the hair school and spent some time with Allee. She worked on my eyebrows and eyelashes, and then I visited with Shanna for a while after. Then it was my carpool day for Katie and Kate’s volleyball. Lots of time in the car on those days.

I've also been working on Allee’s T-shirts for her quilt this week a lot. It’s fun being reminded of all the fun activities you guys have been involved in while growing up. I think she wants hers to be more like yours. It’s fun to be able to make something out of all those memories. Allee, Katie, and I are teaching the lesson in Young Women this afternoon. It has been nice having lots of moments this week to talk about and discuss/prepare things from the Come, Follow Me readings. It has truly strengthened my understanding and testimony of these simple truths. One of my favorite scriptures from the reading is from 2 Nephi 1:15, "But behold, the Lord hath redeemed my soul from hell; I have beheld his glory, and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love." He truly frees us from our sin, weaknesses, distractions, and everything that holds us back. I am so thankful for that amazing gift!

It’s kinda crazy that I didn’t take any pictures this week. I’m sorry about that, but I do want to share this picture of Christ. It brings peace and joy to my heart. I hope it can bring peace to yours as well.

I love you so much my sweet boy! Especially with Valentine's week, I hope you know what a joy you are to me and how much love I feel for you—not just now but always! You are so special to me, and I hope you know how special you are to our family and to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ!

I can’t wait to hear how your week has been tomorrow. Yay for Mondays!!!!

Love, Mom

Thank you so much for the amazing email, Mom! I truly appreciate every opportunity I have to hear from you and the rest of the family. It sounds like you had a pretty good week. I'm sorry about your stomach; it truly sucks when it doesn't feel good. So I definitely feel for you! I have been doing super good this week; we saw a lot of success during the week, and it was super fun. This was the last week of the transfer... I'm super nervous about what happens next! There are so many options and things that could happen and change. The only thing for sure is that we all think I'm leaving. But it's definitely my time; I have been here for a long time! I love this ward so much, and it's going to be really hard but good to go help another area grow.

This week we had a super cool experience I wanted to share with you. So sadly, yesterday we had no one at church with us. We had so many cool people lined up on Saturday night, so when they didn't come, it was very sad. We leave church and get back to the apartment to grab our bikes and head out for the afternoon. We start biking into the wind; I was not enjoying myself, to put it simply. We get to this area, and I had no idea why I put it in. We had no business being there; no one ever really wanted to talk to us. Then this car pulls up next to me and asks us to say a prayer with him. Next thing you know, we are on the side of the road with him talking about his life story. He was a member a while back, but after some conflicts, he left the church. He told us his life went kind of to crap ever since. He explained how he was so angry at God and just didn't know what to do. He said he was thinking/praying about what to do, and then he saw us. Now he's coming to the church on Tuesday to walk around and have a lesson and watch a baptism after.

It always blows my mind the way that God works through us. He obviously knew we would be confused about that area. He obviously knew that this member needed physical reassurance that God was there. So he used both of us to fill one another's needs. I love my Heavenly Father so much. He truly loves us so much!

I love you tons, Mom! Can't wait to talk today!

PS I love the scripture. I have really enjoyed "Come, Follow Me" lately. I think it's amazing all we can apply to our own lives from this amazing book of scripture. Nephi is such an inspiration.
