ONE YEAR

Well, we always knew it was gonna happen. MY ABSOLUTE LEGEND OF A BROTHER got married last week. I have a sister-in-law, so hype, let's go! Also, I hit a year on my mission – super cool, and I can't wait for another!


This week, put simply, was just a grind. Found a lot of cool people and a lot of people who just wanted to bash. So that was beyond fun. For some reason, they can never get the names right. Idk who John Smith is... but nevertheless, this is still God's church on the earth. JOSEPH Smith was a true prophet, and President Nelson is his prophet on the earth today.


We had a couple of miracles and cool experiences this week, and I wanted to share 2 of them.


We were with our friends Martha, Albert, and Reina. They were one of our backup plans in case one of our lessons fell through. Sometimes we don't think the backups are as important, but I testify they are! We showed up and didn't really know where we wanted to go with it. My companion looked at me and kind of shrugged. So, I asked if we could share some scriptures. I felt impressed to share some verses from Luke 2 – verses 7-16. It's a lot, so I won't put it all in here, but I wanted to share one.


"16 And they came with haste and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger."


One thing I LOVE is the shepherds came with HASTE! They were urgent, fast; they knew they needed to be where that baby was! Do you know why? They KNEW that it was Jesus Christ; they knew they needed to be nearer to him. The same should be said of us. We need to know these things are true. We need to be steadfast in our testimony of Christ, because he truly is our Savior!


As we shared that with our friends, they decided they needed to make church and the scriptures more of a priority. They wanted to start seeking him more in their lives. Let the spirit guide you in all things, guys; you will see miracles!


Guys, God truly is our loving heavenly father. My bike tire popped one day, so I was sort of upset, haha, because we were forever away from our meeting point with the car elders, so that meant we had to walk. So off we went, Elder Rody walking next to his bike and me with my bike over my shoulder, carrying it. I was not sure why this happened, what good it could do, and what I needed to learn from it (besides looking more closely for thorns in the road, haha). But as we walked, I slowly felt the weight get less and less, and I felt an overwhelming sense of love from my Savior and Father in Heaven. I was feeling so down on myself because of the lack of success we thought we were having and because of the troubles I had. A scripture was brought to the front of my mind.


"8 The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?


9 Therefore, hold on thy way, and the priesthood shall remain with thee; for their bounds are set, they cannot pass. Thy days are known, and thy years shall not be numbered less; therefore, fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever."


Jesus Christ is our Savior. He loves us and suffered for us. Turn to him for strength! This is his gospel, and I know it's true!

It's that time again everybody, Monday email day. We had a crazy week up here in Zapata, the bikes are ELECT!! We grinded, I go fast on the bikes so I'm not sure if my comp is happy about that haha! But we've gotta be urgent with the work, this is God's work sooo This week we found so many cool people!! They are so awesome and I can't wait to see how they progress! We only had a couple come to church but we had some inactive members pull up so that was so awesome!! We have been trying to focus on sharing the restoration and church with our friends and we have seen blessings come from it! The people here know that something is missing from their church, and then we come along and boom. Questions are answered. This week we had interviews with president, which was super lit! Sorrrrrry I don't have a ton of stuff to say this week!! I'm staying in Edinburg for another transfer!! God has people here for me! I'm too hyped, Elder Cooper is heading home. He's finished his mission and he's a beast. I'll forever be grateful for him!!  Jesus Christ Lives. He loves us, this is his plan and nothing can mess it up. He truly did restore his church to the earth through Joseph Smith. Apparently I Was Fat?

YOOOOOOOO, what is popping everybody? I love y'all so much, and I am so grateful for everything y'all do. Truly, I've got the best family and friends out there. I love you guys so much! Can you believe it is Christmas time? Like not that many days until the big day is here. My P-day today is short because we have Christmas Conference this week. But it's always a joy to write an email and express some feelings I have come to acquire while being a missionary. Our friend Abel is back on date!! I had the impression to call him a couple of days ago and invite him to be baptized on the 30th. He said he wants to, and we are excited to work with him!!! I have grown to truly love this guy, and I am so excited for him to receive these blessings! My dawg Elder Nielsen is in the ward now. He was my MTC comp, and I'm hyped to be around him again.
