Yo What Hector Doing
Hey, what's up? How's it going, everybody? How was the week? Did you have fun? Did you enjoy every minute of it? I hope you all had a great week! My week was pretty chill, as usual. Let's get started, shall we?
This week started off with a bang; we had Zone Conference on Tuesday, and that was so lit! We received so much revelation and immediately saw the blessings of that. One thing I love about the mission and the church is that we have inspired leaders who can tell us how to improve based on our needs in that moment. Isn't that cool?
Wednesday and Thursday were hype grind days. With temperatures chilling at around 112 degrees, you already know there were people just waiting to talk to us outside. Yeah, that was a joke; not a lot of people were outside this week, which was sad but alright because we just knocked on their doors.
Friday was super lit. We had a lot of good lessons and also saw a lot of members. We have a friend named Martha who was baptized a little while ago and loves us to come over and share videos with her and her family. She and her mom are the only ones who are members, by the way... so we went over and shared an awesome video and invited them all to come to church. Sunday rolls around and THE WHOLE FAMILY came to church. Part-member families are so hype. "Gathered Israel hangs out with scattered Israel" - quoted from someone I can't remember.
This week was full of tender mercies, whether it was us biking in the heat and someone gave us water, someone opening the door when we were at our most discouraged, or really anything. I can truly say God is looking out for us. God knows your situation perfectly. Turn to him! A little miracle we had was with our friends Romeo and Roel. These two have always been a struggle because they are just two teenage boys. They have a ton of energy, not a lot of common sense, and no attention span. Like me when I was in high school. But for some reason, this week something switched! They are asking about the sacrament, participating in lessons and classes, and just enjoying the spirit. I know that God touched their hearts, and I'm so happy that they are doing good things now.
Oh, also, our friend Hector Lopez is wildin'. He's such a goofy guy, and he's also the Elders Quorum President.
This week I was reading more of the 4th missionary. It's an awesome talk about consecration and dedication to the work. There's a part in there that talks about us needing to submit to the Lord, to say that we will do his will and not ours. How can this apply in your life?
Les amo mucho. ¡Ojalá que tengan una buena semana!
