This Work Is God's Work

Yo, what's up my homies, amigos, and carnales? How's life treating you? Are you enjoying the blessings and experiences that God is providing? I hope so! I definitely am! So, this week was a good one. No bike crashes, said goodbye to a companion who's moving on in the real world. May he rest in peace. Got a new companion in the branch. Let's get started!

Alright, so this week kicked off really well. Tuesday was a grind as we awaited transfer calls. But we connected with some cool people, especially our friend Oscar. He's awesome, an older gentleman, keen on finding ways to be with his family forever. We discussed that topic, and he's making great progress. Tuesday night was wild. We knew Wahlquist was heading home due to his time being up. So, who would I get as my new companion? I ended up with Elder Rodabough, a real beast. I didn't know much about him at that point, so we were just hanging out.

Wednesday was exciting – we worked, said farewells, had a youth night, and enjoyed some cake. Pretty awesome. We met Josie, a fantastic friend who had some thought-provoking questions. She committed to church, which was great.

Thursday began a bit sad as Elder Wahlquist and Harman left. Rip. However, Elder Sutton, whom I've nicknamed the Timberwolf for some reason, and I went on a split. We met cool people and sweated a lot on our bikes. Our new companions arrived that day, and it was awesome to work with mine. Found out he's from West Valley, plays the French horn, ran cross country, and really loves avocados. This transfer is shaping up to be amazing!

Friday was relaxed. We went out and talked to EVERYONE, as always. We also dropped by the Bautistas, who treated us to tacos once again. This guy told me, "If you want a taco, let me know! I'll buy lots of tacos for you!" I love this family. They really like us, though they're not fully into acting on faith and coming to church. We'll help them get there. The love I have for this small town filled with cool people is incredible. I hadn't realized how much God could grow our love for others.

Saturday was a blast – found cool people like the previous days and visited the Martinez Family. Part-member families are so promising, let me tell you. We shared Ether 12 with them, and they loved it. Verse 27 stood out to them, providing comfort during their tough times. It was cool because we didn't know what to share before arriving. The Spirit knows what people need; just listen to Him!

Sunday was incredible – we had people come to church with us! I've never been happier. Also, I'm now the branch pianist, which is pretty epic. I was up there, and our friend Josie walked in. Then Ismael arrived – he walked to church with his walker. Epic. It boosted my faith. Church is crucial. Oh, and we performed a musical number. "If the Savior Stood Beside Me" is my new favorite children's song.

This week was thrilling. God is consistently good. Trust in Him, offer your efforts, and He'll make them even greater.

Ether 3:14
"Behold, I am he who was prepared from the foundation of the world to redeem my people. Behold, I am Jesus Christ. I am the Father and the Son. Through me, all mankind can have eternal life by believing in my name. They will become my sons and daughters."

Jesus Christ is the world's Savior and Redeemer. I know this is true through my experiences and the testimony of the Holy Ghost. He's the foundation we must build upon. If we believe in Him, we'll have eternal life. God's love is immense; He sent His Son. Strengthen your relationship with your Savior and Father in Heaven. They're waiting to hear from you.

I love you all. This church is true. If you ever feel weary or disheartened, remember your Savior stands by you.
