This Was A Hot Week

Ayeee, what's going on, everybody? I hope you all had a great week, and you're all about to have another awesome week! I hope you were able to take some time and reflect on the Lord's hand in your life. God is good. This church is His church, and He loves each of us!! This week was, for real, a great one. We saw a lot of miracles and enjoyed the heat.

To start it off this week, we were sitting right at 115 and higher in temperature. I was sweating buckets before we even started riding the bikes! It was super fun though, and the people took pity on us and gave us a lot of water! I have learned that you've gotta use the situation to your advantage. If it's hot outside, they are more willing to let you in, especially when they see we are on the bikes.

This week, we did an exchange with the Zone Leaders. It was super hype! My guy, Elder Foulke, came with me on the bikes. It was so lit!! Elder Foulke is huge, like absolutely massive, so he was a sight to behold on the bikes. It was super fun, and we talked to everyone we saw! I love the work when I can just put my head down and get it done! God blesses Diligence, I know that for a fact!!

We spent a lot of time building up the branch this week! We had a lot of member visits, which went super well! The members here hold a very sweet place in my heart. They are so pure and love the gospel very much. We just gotta help them realize that church is the best thing for them. I can't wait till Zapata branch gets to 100% activity. It's gonna happen, I can feel it!!

I did an exchange with the other elders in my district this week as well. Me and my guy, Elder Harman, went together and found some LIT people for them to teach. We also set 2 of their people on a baptismal date! #ZAPATAISELECTFORSURE

Elder Jackson (the branch president) was telling us about the blessings that come from the priesthood. While we were talking, I felt this strong feeling of gratitude for the priesthood in my life. For the examples I've had of how it should be used from my dad, brother, grandpas, uncles, cousins, friends, and everyone else. I bear testimony that the priesthood is the power of God. It is so important, and we need to use it how God wants it used. It reminded me that I always have that to turn to in times of need!!

GOD IS GOOD MOMENT

So we had district council, and after that, we went to get some food, 'cause yeah, we need food! We went to this restaurant, and as we were leaving, we saw this car pulling out. I recognized it as the car of one of our inactive members. Me being the guy I am, decided to walk in front of it and stop it. I did so, and the girl got out! Her name is Marisol, and no one has talked to her in a long time. We chatted for a minute, and the SPIRIT convinced her to let us come over and share something!! She also said she would come to church. She didn't come, but that's not the point. The point is that she was opened by the spirit! The spirit that you all have with you!! As we are guided by the spirit, we will see blessings and miracles. I testify of that!!

This work is God's work. This church is God's church. He is our loving Father in Heaven. He wants us to be happy and to find peace in this life. The only way we can overcome this world and find rest is through our covenants with Him!
