Yooo It Was Very Hot This Week

Hey guys, what's going on? Shoutout to all the moms out there, y'all are the best! Especially my momma. Love ya, mom! How was everyone's week this week? Did you have some crazy cool spiritual experiences? If you did, lemme know what happened! I'd love to hear about what's going on! I hope you all enjoyed your Sabbath day. There's something different about Sundays. It might be because we get to take the sacrament, which is always a highlight for me! Go read 3 Nephi 18. It's a game changer and helps me appreciate and make the sacrament more meaningful! Our friend Romeo came to church! He's a recent convert to the church and hasn't been in so long, but he came this week and said he's coming again next week. Amen to that, right? We were praying that he would make it and he came through! God is so good!

This week was prettttty awesome! We have been on the find grind pretty hard right now. Looking for some new people, and boom, we found them! We met this super awesome family who really wanted to know where we can turn for peace, and which church is true! You already know we helped them with those questions! But for real, they loved the message of the restoration, and they are reading the Book of Mormon! #restochangeslives

We went on exchanges this week, and I went with my dawg Elder Oliviera. He's such a beast, we saw a lot of success in our area during that day! We met a tonnnn of people and spoke a ton of Spanish. Elder Oli is fluent and helped me a ton, what a guy. #fluentcompishype

We also had a plate sale this week, which was super long but fun. Brother Lopez in our branch was selling leg quarters and needed help. So we got right in there, me and my comp cooked the chicken and the others gave them out to people. It was so fun, and we talked to probably the whole town of Zapata. A lot of people we haven't been able to get in contact with were there. So we got in contact with some people again! #Littlemiraclesforsure

So I was reading this week in Come Follow Me, which was an absolute game changer! I've been bad about reading it, so I'm catching up, BUT I love Come Follow Me con todo mi corazon! I was reading in Matthew 19:20, it says:

20 The young man saith unto him, "All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?"

21 Jesus said unto him, "If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me."

This young man is in a situation that a lot of people are at. He has kept the standards, rules, morals, and commandments that he was supposed to. He turns to the Savior and asks what else he can do! I am sometimes (a lot of the time) very bad at doing this! But I know that if we take our shortcomings to our Savior, he can help us overcome them. He will not take them away, but will give us the strength to overcome them. As well, we need to be charitable and kind to all. You never know what someone is going through. Give people the benefit of the doubt and try to become like your Savior! He will give you treasures in heaven. 

God is our Father in heaven; we are his children. We have a Savior, and his name is Jesus Christ. Follow him and you will see blessings! I know this because I have seen them myself!
