¡Hola my Amigos! ¿Cómo are you doing? That's what a sentence sounds like down here in the land of tex mex!! How are you all doing? I bet it's going great, you all are amazing and great examples to me!! Shoutout to all the friends who are getting ready to leave on their missions!! You are not gonna regret that decision! Awesome, let's get into the week!
This week was kind of like a lot of other weeks....but better!! We had a lot of fun talking to people about the gospel!! Met some very interesting people and had a whole family come to church with us!! God really does bless us as we are trying our hardest! There was an added emphasis on working with the members this week, so we went around and met as many as possible!! Through it we got 3 referrals and all 3 want to be baptized! As members you truly are the secret weapon in missionary work!
We did quite a bit of service this week as well, which was super awesome!! We got to paint this super cool old house! Me and Elder Cooper decided we would buy it and move in. Sadly we don't have the funds for that....but it was cool anyway!
I love the work and it brings me so much joy to know that people are learning about Jesus Christ!!
Spiritual thought!!
Matthew 2:11
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh
This is when the Wise men visit the Christ child. In gospel doctrine they emphasized the gifts that the wise men brought. These were not cheap gifts....they cost a lot of money!! They spared no expense because they knew who Jesus was! We need to make sure we are giving Jesus our everything! Doing all we can to live the gospel and become more like him!
I testify to you that Jesus Christ is watching over you! He cries for you during your hard times and celebrates with you during your good times!! He is our savior and redeemer. With him we can live with our families forever!!
I love you all and would love to hear from you!
Con amor,
Élder Lefler
