TEXASSSSSS YESSSSSSIRRRR

Hola mi amigos!!!

I made it to Texas! After a month in Mexico I jumped on a plane and made it to the states!! I love being here, the people are so amazing!

On Monday morning we woke up bright and early and jumped on a plane to Dallas and then McAllen! It was a bittersweet goodbye. We arrived in McAllen and were greeted by President Larreal, his wife, the APs and the Sister Training Leaders. We went to the mission home and had dinner! It was veryyyy good! Then the Elders spent the night at the AP's house. The next morning we woke up, had breakfast and then had some training before getting assigned to our areas and trainers!!

MY TRAINER IS SOOOO LIT!! His name is Elder Ingram and he is the coolest! He is exactly what I needed for this beginning part of my mission! We are serving in the city of Mission Texas! Our area goes all the way to the border! It is such a cool place and I love the people! My first day here we went out and we were able to give someone a baptismal date! ON MY FIRST DAY! It was such a cool experience. The people are so kind and loving! We are in a four man group with Elders Mayfield and Elder Hansen! So they are the Spanish Elders and me and my comp are the English Elders! I was sad about that at the beginning but I still use Spanish a lot everyday! A good thing is I can teach in English, so I can understand what I am teaching!! It is a tender mercy for sure!!

Our apartment is kinda wack! Our water heater is broken so only cold showers for this guy! Haha it's awesome, we also have a couple of little cockroach friends! It's such a vibe! Another amazing thing is that we get fed every night by members! So we really only have to worry about breakfast and lunch!

Like the rest of you we had the opportunity to listen to conference this weekend!! Most of the sessions we listened to in English but there was one we listened to in Spanish!

(That one might have been harder to stay awake during haha) But I felt the emphasis of making sure we all have a knowledge of the truth for ourselves! "We cannot live on borrowed light" was a line that stuck out to me. I challenge you if you don't already have a strong testimony to get one! If you do, then do everything you can to strengthen it!!

I love you guys so much! I would love to hear from all of you! Email me!

Love,

Elder Lefler
