Mexico CCM!

Hey everybody!! I left for the Mexico MTC on the 30th of August! I flew out of Salt Lake City and went straight to Mexico. Mexico city is sooo big! The houses are so colorful and simple! It is so pretty and I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to learn in this amazing place!! It has been such an amazing experience!! I got here and within the first day I saw a ton of friends and it helped me ease into it! I met my District and they are some of the best people I've ever met, I love them so much! My companion got called as the district leader and he's been doing an amazing job! A couple days into our MTC experience we had a rock paper scissors competition...the loser of the tournament had to buzz their head. I lost the competition....which if you ask my friend JR is not a surprise! I am very bad at rock paper scissors haha But now me and my close friend Will Judy can both say we buzzed our heads in the MTC! As the weeks have gone by, others in my district have buzzed their heads as well! Overall it's been just a fun experience haha

 

 

We had the opportunity to listen to Elder and Sister Uchtdorf on a broadcast from the provo MTC! The thing that stuck out to me was that we need to control what we can control! We can choose how obedient we are and how we live our lives, why not make them the best we can?? The following day we had the opportunity to listen to two general authorities, Brother Corbitt and Brother Pace!! They gave great incites on how to be great missionaries! The spirit was really strong!!

 

 

I have been given the opportunity to learn Spanish! It's been really good! I've made progress and I can't wait to keep learning! I testify that the gift of tongues is real! Before my mission I could not speak any Spanish, I'm not saying I can speak a ton now but I have definitely learned more Spanish in the past 2 weeks than I thought was possible! My Uncle Jason told me the best way to learn a language was to speak it, read it and write it. Let me tell you that is the truth! Thank you so much for the tip Uncle J!!

 

 

Today we had the opportunity to go to the Mexico City Temple!! IT WAS SO AMAZING! I've only had the opportunity to do sessions in the Mount Timp Temple in American Fork Utah! So going to a Temple in a different country and doing a session in Español was a CRAZY experience! I did not understand all of what was said but the spirit was so amazing! I have so much love for this gospel! I know I am where I am supposed to be, doing what I am supposed to be doing! There have been ups and downs, but constant prayer and faith have helped me a lot! 

 

 

I wanted to share a scripture, Alma 36:24

 

 

24 Yea, and from that time even until now, I have labored without ceasing, that I might bring souls unto repentance; that I might bring them to taste of the exceeding joy of which I did taste; that they might also be born of God, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

 

 

I want other people to experience what I've experienced! This gospel brings me so much joy I can't put it into words! As we are righteous and obey his commandments we WILL be blessed! I testify that I know our Savior Jesus Christ loves each and everyone of us! You are all amazing and I would love to hear from all of you! Adios!!

It's that time again everybody, Monday email day. We had a crazy week up here in Zapata, the bikes are ELECT!! We grinded, I go fast on the bikes so I'm not sure if my comp is happy about that haha! But we've gotta be urgent with the work, this is God's work sooo This week we found so many cool people!! They are so awesome and I can't wait to see how they progress! We only had a couple come to church but we had some inactive members pull up so that was so awesome!! We have been trying to focus on sharing the restoration and church with our friends and we have seen blessings come from it! Sorrrrrry I don't have a ton of stuff to say this week!! I'm staying in Edinburg for another transfer!! God has people here for me! I'm too hyped, Elder Cooper is heading home. He's finished his mission and he's a beast. I'll forever be grateful for him!!  Jesus Christ Lives. He loves us, this is his plan and nothing can mess it up. He truly did restore his church to the earth through Joseph Smith. Apparently I Was Fat?

YOOOOOOOO, what is popping everybody? I love y'all so much, and I am so grateful for everything y'all do. Truly, I've got the best family and friends out there. I love you guys so much! Can you believe it is Christmas time? Like not that many days until the big day is here. My P-day today is short because we have Christmas Conference this week. But it's always a joy to write an email and express some feelings I have come to acquire while being a missionary. Our friend Abel is back on date!! I had the impression to call him a couple of days ago and invite him to be baptized on the 30th. He said he wants to, and we are excited to work with him!!! I have grown to truly love this guy, and I am so excited for him to receive these blessings! My dawg Elder Nielsen is in the ward now. He was my MTC comp, and I'm hyped to be around him again.
